Back when I travelled to Turkey, another thing that was popular among locals and foreigners was Turkish delight. Most people would have heard Turkish delight from the book, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, which according to the book, was Edmond’s favorite. Turkish delight is a sticky and very sweet candy made mainly from starch, sugar, and rose water. After the candy is chopped into large chunks, it’s often dusted with powdered sugar to prevent them from sticking together.
