Korean BBQ

Hi everyone! I looked through the photos that I took when I traveled to LA over the last summer, and I remembered one of the best experiences I had there was when I ate Korean BBQ with my family. When you eat Korean BBQ, you order a special cut of meat that you’d prefer, and they’ll give you your meat to grill yourself. Each table is usually equipped with a mini grill to grill your meat. The great thing about Korean BBQ is the fact that you have the opportunity to grill and do whatever you want to your meat to match with your tastebuds. You can also get some help grilling from the waiter or waitresses if you need any. In Korean BBQ places, you also get various side dishes such as a salad, kimchi, etc.

The Korean BBQ place I went when I was in LA was Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong. Named after the South Korean television host Kang Ho Dong, Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong has spread throughout the world. The Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong in Los Angeles was also among the “12 Finest Korean BBQ restaurants in LA and OC” according to Eater Los Angeles and in the “Top 10 Best Korean Bbq in Los Angeles” in yelp. Even celebrities such as Rachael Ray, Ed Sheeran, Chris Rock, the Williams sisters, BTS, and Maria Sharapova have dined in one of these famous Korean BBQ restaurants. For those who love Korean BBQ, you must try one of many Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong restaurants around the world!

Indomie

In Asian supermarkets, you can find a savory and delicious instant noodle called Indomie. Originating from Indonesia, Indomie is a successful instant noodle that you can find across the world. You can find it in Australia, America, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Papua New Guinea, Africa, and the Middle East.

Indomie has an unforgettable and piquant taste; however, it is extremely unhealthy. There are different varieties of Indomie, such as:

  • Mi Goreng ( stir-fried noodles)
  • Mi Goreng Sate ( Satay flavored noodles)
  • Mi Rasa Kaldu Ayam (Noodles with chicken-flavored broth)
  • Mi Rasa Kari Ayam (Noodles with chicken curry-flavored broth)
  • Mi Rasa Ayam Spesial (Special chicken-flavored noodles)

Eggs

Eggs, there are numerous ways to consume them. You can poach, bake, boil, fry, or even eat them raw. In addition, they are easy to mix with other ingredients. With additional components, you turn them into an omelet, scotch eggs, egg benedict, scrambled eggs, or deviled eggs. Eggs are an excellent source for protein to start your day. Although eggs are full of protein, they are also pretty high in cholesterol, so be sure not to eat too many!

Eggs are so popular worldwide that a Japanese company, Sanrio invented an egg cartoon character. This egg is one of my most favorite cartoon characters and is known for being extremely lazy. This lazy egg is named Gudetama. Released back during 2017, Gudetama’s popularity has increased over time. Now you can find Gudetama merchandises, cafes, and videos everywhere. Each Gudetama video ends with a person dressed as an egg dancing to the theme song. Here is one of the Gudetama videos created by Sanrio:
